Trick or Treat

We made a brief trip around the neighborhood yesterday so that Jace (our baby dino) could experience some trick-or-treating.  Fortunately for us, he's not into candy just yet (knock on wood).  He was much more into the Cheerios that we put into his Elmo bucket, so he would hold the darn thing!  :)  Nonetheless, I think he really enjoyed walking around the area and meeting our friendly neighbors.

Apple Hill 2012

These last several weeks have been so busy that we haven't had a chance to head up to Apple Hill... until now!  Luckily, we were able to squeeze in some time this past weekend, and I'm so glad we did.  The weather was perfect!  We brought back a big bag of apples and other goodies.  It's a good thing too because Jace can't get enough of this stuff!

Jace Visits Uesugi Farms

Our annual visit to Uesugi Farms started last year when Jace was only 5 months old.  It's such an amazing spot that we couldn't NOT come back.  This year Jace dressed up as a baby dinosaur and loved exploring various parts of the patch...

49er Team Store Grand Opening

The grand opening of the 49er team store in Palo Alto was happening this past Saturday, so we had planned to stop by and check it out.  Unfortunately, the line to get in was insanely long and patience is a virtue that Jace has yet to master.  Needless to say, we didn't make it inside the store, but I'm sure we'll have an opportunity sometime soon.  It wasn't a complete waste because we still got Jace a haircut, had lunch, and browsed a few shops at the Town and Country while we were there.

Self Feeding

Even at only 16 months, Jace likes to test his independence.  He hardly allows anyone to feed him and wants to do it all on his own.  This is no problem for dry foods, but can get quite messy with all other types.  Hopefully, soon all this practice will pay off and we can get more food in his mouth than on the floor!

Lazy Saturdays

What a treat to be able to sleep-in during the weekend and wake up to sounds of Jace playing with Daddy. :)  And what an even bigger treat to spend the afternoon in Palo Alto for lunch and a Farmers Market stroll.  To top it all off, our family had a quiet evening at home eating a delicious lobster dinner.  Yes, including Jace!

Minikins Market, San Jose

It's football season, which means that Jace and I have mommy and me time for 3 hours every Sunday!  We decided to check out the Minikins Market this week with our pals, Emily and Miya.  Minikins is kinda like a fleamarket for kids items, both new and "pre-loved".  We scored a few things, but mainly had fun outdoors where there were special events for the kids and plenty of space for them to run around.
