Dolores Park, San Francisco
If you haven't already checked out Dolores Park in San Francisco, you definitely need to go while the weather permits. I like to describe it as a beach with grass (in place of sand) and you'll know why when you see it. We went with some friends months ago, but I recently came across these pictures and had to share because the first one always makes me smile when I look at it. This cute little girl, Ella, was born on the exact same day as Jace - about an hour later. We like to joke that they're twins (since they kind of are). How adorable are these two sharing this little swing?
Doctor Visits
Call me crazy, but I look forward to doctor visits! Well, not my own, of course... but Jace's doctor visits. It's exciting to find out how he's developing and get advice on reaching the next milestone. Jace just had his 15-month check-up and everything is looking great. Below are some photos from our recent visit as well as a few from his first year.

Jace's First Owie
Jace loves playing and hiding in his bedroom closet - or any closet for that matter. I'm always nervous about smashed fingers and rolled over toes, but Jace has surprisingly managed to keep his little digits away from danger. Unfortunately, the streak has ended and his big toe was no match for the sliding closest door. :( The good news is that though he did whine a little, there were no tears shed. What a tough little man!
And of course, there's no way I could pass up a good photo op after seeing the Winnie the Pooh bandaid on his cute little toe! (Bad mommy!)

Habitat for Humanity 2012
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that provides simple, decent, and affordable homes to low-income families across the world. My team at work joined forces with others at a construction site in Daly City for condos that will serve as new homes for 36 families in March 2014. What a fun and rewarding experience that was! I'm so excited to see what the final products will look like..
